The thing that pisses me off regarding the flag flying issue is that everyone that said is for purely economic reasons is correct. The association doesn't want everyone to start flying all sorts of flags and banners and making the place look tacky. All it would take is a change to the rules to exclude the American flag from them - unfortunately, as soon as they do that, everyone else that wants to fly a flag will challenge it.
Almost in agreement... but shouldn't everyone be allowed to fly whatever flag they like. Isn't it ridiculous with such prohibitions in the first place?
