Maybe I'm missing something. Are there some MR members that are also authors?

I know that some of you will give away your first book or two. Some will "sell" it for less than the cost of a weekday newspaper.

So the big dumb question is "Are the big name publishers the ONLY ones that overdrive/libraries will accept ebooks from?"

I have ebooks from members that I have bought for only $6. Eating at McDonalds cost more that. Will I pay more to see the best of it in the ebook library? Yes.

I would benefit by seeing a good writer moving up. The library would benefit. The public would benefit.

I know. There are some works that are absolutely terrible, and the library staff can't read everything. But there has to be a way to get some of it in to the libraries.
