Yes yes.........I know most authors can read as well.

But for simplicity sake.......choose one or the other.
Qualifications for being an author are simple.......you must have written something, completely. Not just drafts...an entire story.
Publishing I wouldn't consider mandatory,
not for this poll....I'm sure there are many out there who have stories collecting dust they either have no intention of trying to get published, or for other reasons. If you've written something, anything.......I think you are an 'author'.
