Great recipe.
Take as many kumquats as you can. If you want, wash them. with clean water. Put them in clean jars. Cover them with whatever spirit you fancy. Rhum, whiskey, wodka, Applejack, brandy, you name it. Cheap stuff gives the best results in terms of satisfaction/price ratio. Close the lids. Store away for a while (months tipically) in a dark place is better.
