Yeah, being a professor who just finished grad school last summer--e-ink sucks as for studying, or for reading and marking up stuff I'm reading related to my research or teaching now etc.

I need to be able to quickly flip through articles, which you can't do with slow e-ink page turns. I need to be able to highlight things instantly with a pen or highlighter, not waste time on the slow annotation on e-ink devices etc.

I have some hopes a big screen LCD tablet will work for my needs and stop having to print out PDFs of research articles etc. But e-ink definitely never will--the Kindle 1 I have is the last e-ink device I'll every own.
