The last dedicated games system I had was a Sega Genesis, and I wasn't a first adopter for that (or its games) either. I now play games on my computer, but I don't rush out to buy them on the first day they are released.
I didn't have to wait in line for the iPad 3G, but, what is the harm in it? I think a lot of people do it just for the fun of it-same with game consoles. If it doesn't affect your life (unless the line blocked your way to the bathroom ) what is the problem?
