The last dedicated games system I had was a Sega Genesis, and I wasn't a first adopter for that (or its games) either. I now play games on my computer, but I don't rush out to buy them on the first day they are released.

Well, that was not what you wrote earlier. You said you won't buy it if people are willing to wait in line for the release.
And the iPad on the release did fall in the unique and rare category. Maybe just not for you. No one exCept apple knows how many ipad's will be available. If it's like the iPhone, there could be shortages. And a lot of people actually wants an iPad for a good reason. I have thought about flying to America that day just to buy it too. Waiting for something for 4 months does that to you.
