But would you wait in line for hours and hours just to buy something that will be available the next day, and the one after that, and the week after that, and the....? That's my point. I can understand wanting to have something new and being the first to try and get it -
IF the item is either rare or unique. The iPad doesn't fall into that category. I've just learned in life that what usually follows the "newest" thing improves upon it and gives more value.
The last dedicated games system I had was a Sega Genesis, and I wasn't a first adopter for that (or its games) either. I now play games on my computer, but I don't rush out to buy them on the first day they are released.
