Yes, a good conclusion. I'm a little unsure about one of the characters reactions to the resolution, but on the whole, it's very good. There's a small element in the ending that I didn't notice being mentioned as possible early in the book, which was a little annoying in retrospect.

Now for some Mil SF. The Sharp End by David Drake. From 1993.

So far it's the expected action, although the first bit is just setting up the immediate background of the characters.
