This one would appear to be especially for Florence, since it is 3 x 3 x 3, or 3 to the power 3. For such an odd number it has a very nice symmetry. And I must admit having a fondness for 27.
However, I suspect that this number has a deeply hidden darker side. Among the clues are that it is made of 3x3x3 which is suspiciously close to 333, or half the beast. Then, there is the fact that 27 is the atomic number of cobalt, which is also known as kobold. Kobold is the name applied to various germanic sprites. Whilst some of these are good(ish) as the do household chores and help sailors, some are more evil plaguing miners being responsible for cave-ins and noxious gases.
So keep an eye on 27, just in case....
