The wide line spacing on the JBL was a BIG issue with me, but after six months, I am more than used to it- it is actually easier on the eyes. I have made pdf files sized for the JBL in Times NR font that look exactly like a printed book, but I wind up going back to the JBL's wider display.

BTY, why would anyone prefer e-ink? My JBL seems a lot more readable, especially in low light, and the text saturation is good. I even like not having a contrast control to fiddle with- no need for one when the screen is fully optimized, and I see no text degradation as the batteries get weaker- it just dies all at once.

GhostHawk's picture of the book clutter gets the point across, but I have a 12 foot wall in the livingroom covered with books, two bedroom walls covered, and a third of my attic with boxes of books- most turning yellow from the acid paper. Now I have the JBL with an SD card that holds 8,000 books, and I downloaded the Gutenberg DVD (17,000 books), so even if the Chinese take down the internet, I have reading for 10 lifetimes. I might get another JBL as a backup.
