Any time there is a program that depends on everyone going, "What the?" (X-Files, Lost) any program that presents a puzzle that happens soon after is bound to be cancelled. Flash Forward was hamstringed by the producers deciding to use a flashforward to April this year, rather than Rob's original premise of several years. It get the series a sense of immediacy, but made everyone go, "Ho hum. The mystery will be solved by the end of the season. So waht?"
