Thanks for the great suggestions. I'm thinking of asking bookdepository if they sell their Epubs without DRM, and if so will probably try to buy one and convert it to MOBI through Calibre.
From all replies I see that the PDF to MOBI conversion is something that nobody is happy about. This is a shame because I have "many" free pdf e-books in my Calibre library and I still don't know if there is a Conversion software worthwile.
For the comics I have literally given up trying to convert them to try and make them readable in my kindle. Lots of limitations on this supposedly wonderful device, which still makes it great, were it not for the monopolization by Amazon on kindle-friendly formats.
Any suggestions on conversion solution for PDF or should I just give up and delete all PDF files (more than 3000) from my e-book library?
