I don't get waiting in line, either. I wanted an iPad and expected to wait till the craziness subsided. I happened to be in Vegas when my husband (a Microsoft guy, lol) mentioned the iPad launch at dinner. I found out there were three Apple stores, and I called the one at a casino-resort, which I figured would be less mobbed than those at malls. That Apple store was open till midnight, and the guy said they still had a few 3G 64gb models. So I went and bought mine in under 10 minutes, late at night. There were still a bunch of people in the store, so I didn't even try the iPad. I figured if it didn't work for me, I could resell it and avoid the restocking fee.

Getting stuck with an iPad isn't a problem; you can sell them on eBay and Craigslist for hundreds over retail.
