I agree 100%. Even in non-tropical areas, it's a really bad idea to sit out in full sun.

I live in a subtropical area now and I never sit in full sun. When I do go out in the sun, I wear a large brim hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. I have no desire to have skin cancer or look like a piece of shoe leather by the time I'm 60.
