Just tried it. Still get just the iPhone app, and 2x makes it look all pixellated, even with "small" type selected. I did want to get it (after all, I already have Kobo, iBooks, and Kindle for iPad installed, why not B&N too?) but I'll wait for a dedicated iPad version too.
