In the waiting room, I came across a Popular Science magazine article that discussed turning a secondhand Tablet PC into an e-reader. They suggested looking for older tablets off of eBay, etc, and then installing reader software like Calibre, Adobe, etc. The idea being that one isn't limited to the sole content of one platform like Kindle, etc. Now this referred to actual full size tablets. But still interesting read. It was a Nov 2009 article. My Asus T91MT serves as my main e-reader now, but then of course I use it as a computer too. (this article was aimed at stripping down an old Tablet and literally making it a dedicated reader)
