Yes, it is the flicker on page turning. For casual reading, where I take my time and my spend 2 or 3 minutes reading a page, I don't mind it much, but for much of my technical and work related reading, I am much faster. The flicker when speed-reading breaks my rhythm and drives me up a wall. I have only borrowed one from a friend to use during a weeklong conference, but after two days, I just could not deal with it.
I am sure they will solve this eventually. Hey, I have waited 8 or 9 years since I first heard of the technology on NPR, another year or two is no big deal. I am patient.
