Hi Sheikspeare,

1. Downloaded this file: http://www.amazon.com/update_kindle_dx.bin

2. Connect my Kindle DX US 2.3 to the pc using it's USB cable.

3. Drag the bin file to the root directory of the Kindle DX. (Im assuming root is just the topmost directory alongside Documents and Audible folder?)

4. Ejected the KDX then disconnect it from my pc

5. From the home page turned wireless off

6. Then hit the menu button.

7. Scrolled to Settings.

8. Click on Settings.

9. From the Settings page click the menu button again.

10. In the menu Update Your Kindle abut I could not select it as it was greyed out.

Please help!
