My experience too. I have about 400 books on mine and it takes about 30 seconds after downloading a book or sample for it to show up; deletions take about the same.
Note: It tooks about 2 minutes per book before I removed all of the directories in 'documents' that Calibre created, so I have reconfigured Calibre to send books directly to 'documents' and not create author directories. Evidently, the new firmware is not very efficient in navigating directory trees.
