I re-read them a few years ago and was surprised to find that there was indeed one female character. She must have got at least 1 page in all of the three volumes
But she was interesting. Trying to get some action while her father wanted her safe at home and taking care of the weary warriors. A very conflicted and frustrated character. I felt for her.
Maybe there were others, but she's the only one I remember.
