I have a little problem when starting up my PB 360.
It always seems to go twice through the booting process.
Here is what happens.
You switch the PB on, the startup screen appears, and then it goes
either to your last opened book or to the main menu, depending on
what you specified in the settings. So far everything seems to be ok.
The weird thing happens after that: the first button that you hit (be it to
move around in the menu, or to turn the page in your book), will lead
to the reappearance of the startup icon, and the PB will then go to the menu,
regardless of your settings specifications.
That means that all the time it needs to load stuff, display the startup screen, and so on, will be spent twice. And you never actually are able
to reopen the last book you have read, because you invariable end up in the menu after the second "boot". So it usually takes me a minute or so before I am actually able to turn a page in my current book after startup.
Does anyone experience the same things?
This happens both on FW 14.2 and 15.1
Happens to most of us.
There's another thread, concerning that issue: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66966
It seems to be related to indexing the SD card.
Card seems to be too slow.
PocketBook is aware of that and working on it.
