As a teenager, my brother and I asked my mother "if you could do it all over again, would you have children?" She thought a moment, and said "I love you both dearly (and we knew she meant it) but if I could do it all over again I'd never have kids!"

That was about 50 years ago. Now, my son is in his thirties. I fully understand my mother's point of view. I couldn't ask for a better kid (although if he were rich enough to support me that would be nice,) smart, pleasant, kind, great sense of humor, etc., all the things we want our kids to be. But if I could do it all over again...
