Corinne Maier, the French author of '
No Kids', was on a radio phone-in here a couple of years ago. She was treated like a pariah by a lot of parents who called in - many of them seemed to agree with her view that having offspring may have been a mistake, but took strong exception to her airing her regrets in public. They thought it would be bad for the children.
