I'm in Aussieland and need some help deciding on an eReader

Hi everyone,
My birthday is coming up soon, and since I'm addicted to reading I thought that I would ask for an eReader as a present. I've had a look through a lot of threads and am now severely confused as to what to get. I'd like to spend under $200 if at all possible. I don't think that a Kindle would be a good idea - especially since it's locked to Amazon. The Kobo has just been released in Australia but I hear that it's relatively fragile.

Seeing as you guys are experts, perhaps you can suggest something to fit the specifications.

1. E Ink - I could read books on my computer but I get a headache looking at an LCD screen.

2. A decent-sized screen (6" is the biggest isn't it?). As long as the reader doesn't go over the size of a paperback book I'll be happy.

3. The ability to read eBook files purchased from a variety of eBook sellers like one of the books from here: http://www.diesel-ebooks.com/cgi-bin...ricia%20Briggs

I'm not sure if the Kobo does this.

4. Preferably he ability to buy one and get support for it in Aussieland

5. Something to protect it (apparently this isn't available for Kobo and people are using DVD covers for it at the moment - although that makes things bulky)

6. Reasonable durability.

Thanks so much!

Kat
