Nothing worse than being woken at 2 in the morning for something that can take 2 minutes to sort out; after a 35 minutes drive there........
my PC switched on okay this morning at 7.....went out for a few hours, returned home to switch on to "boot record missing!".
windows7 could not repair...
thinking I'd have to re-install, I remembered the last time this happened and disconnected my second hard disc and powered up.
huh ! PC loaded no problem ....
worryingly I've two hard drives, windows recognises as C: & L: ..... looking at my system through the windows7 disc, I have a C: and an E: ....
BUT C: in this state is my normal L: and the E: is my main drive ...
I'll never understand computers......
