Creating even the image of a split in their user base is not a smart move by Amazon. Have to agree with all that. I now have the update, but until the hacks work, I sill have Emily staring me down.
The update should have been made available to everyone at the same time; announce the update first, wait for a couple of weeks, or however long 'it' takes, then give everyone the same opportunity.
