Naturally, I wasn't talking about evidence that will stand in court. It's just that a detective gathering everyone around for a final showdown may not have all the facts exactly straight, but can still play it by ear by watching the reactions. So if I was Lobster, I'd go in there with half a mind that it was nekokami, but keeping my eye on MTH and a few others too, and I would see how things unfolded. Which is more or less what Lobster actually did. But he, or at least we, didn't have enough info before that to be
sure about the identity of the killer, all we could have is a hunch. That's what I meant by lack of evidence.
In case it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm definitely not. I had great fun with the contest and the discussion here, and I don't much care that I got it wrong. In a parallel universe it can still be nekokami (no offence, nekokami, by the way, it's nothing personal!).
