In my house, they mostly eat each other as far as I can work out. They certainly don't seem to have any impact on the clothes moths, or the occasional black flies we get round plants.

Guys - I know my dislike of spiders is irrational, and I'm actually a lot better than I used to be (although my dislike of biting insects is less irrational, given mozzie bites swell up to golfball size - not so bad on my shin, less fun on a joint.)
