not really.
in 22 years this is the first year we've had any that have flowered. The only difference is that previous plantings (except the first*) were using shop bought plants. Our first planting* just given leaves, but were planted in shade of a growing tree - which might explain that.
This year's treasure has come from plants we were given last year, and just thown into home made compost (after languishing in a plastic bag for a couple of weeks) - this compost made from kitchen waste and cat litter (sawdust) [whilst composting the temperature occasionally reached 60-65C]. :eeks:
