Many times, since I was 14. The beginning chapters of part III, where Levin describes the works in the country still give me the deepest emotions, the same that I had the first time I read them and still always new and fresh. There is a musical quality, like one finds in Richard Strauss Vier letzte Lieder, atonal, almost arythmic, of great peace and communion with earth at large. IMHO, among the highest pages ever written. Of course I read it in translation.
