My sister has smoked for >20 years and it really shows on her face, she has a lot of wrinkles around her mouth. I know it's vain but that is a big motivation for me to not habitually smoke.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I was in a work and social environment (the military) that at the time more or less encouraged smoking (and drinking), to the point where oftentimes smokers would get breaks and non smokers didn't.... "smoke 'em if ya' got 'em!"
