After 20 years I've been nicotine free for 9 weeks (and counting). I found a drastic cut before hand, and holding at that level for quite awhile helped me. It gave me the knowledge and confidence that I could just cut out some of the cigarettes, and knowing that has helped cut out all of them, I think.
For the first week I also disrupted my normal habits (i.e. no coffee or breakfast tea first thing, chai instead), which I also think was a big help. I almost dreaded going back to expresso's at breakfast
Lene - take it easy, and when you are ready to stop, go for it, it sounds like you've made great progress so far, good luck in the next step.
