If I just had the money to maintain what I consider a decent level of comfort and if (big if) I wanted to live in a city again, I certainly would pick NY. Paris I love, and it is so close, but in NY you feel in the center of the world. In Midtown you look up and the sights take the breath away. The shops, the eateries, the shows, the art. The modern Babilon. Anyhow, you pays your moneys you pick your choices.
it was just normal New York, dirty loud, ugly noisy. if I MUST be in a city I will take any of the ones I already mentioned, or Nuerenbug, Strassbourg, Vienna, Heidelburg.
