Choosing hacks

Perhaps this has already been done or suggested (and if so, I apologize for missing that post). What would be really helpful would be a small little application that could "create" the .xml files based on a user's selections of which hacks to include. Thus, the application would present a list of known hacks and allow the user to select the ones that are desired and, based on those selections, write the .xml code. This would be particularly helpful for users (like me) who aren't comfortable editing .xml code and would help with the proliferation of hacks that include this but not that or that but not this or this and that, etc.

Just thinking out loud...
