My brother did something similar once, but he took the top off of the blender when it was jamed (he was making a milkshake with oreo cookies), took a big long spoon, leaned over to look into the blender, and shoved the spoon.
I was 15 feet away and still got covered with ice cream and little cookie pieces, his whole face was covered, as well as the walls and the ceiling, except for the image of his head that was clear.
