Barnes and Noble uses both their own version of DRM'ed epub (using the credit card as a key) and eReader pdb (using the credit card as a key.)
The Jetbook Lite can read ereader, but not the secure epub, although they are theoretically working on it.
Programs exist to remove DRM from both, so that you can use them on any eReader.
