Errors caused by ebook being viewed

When I am removing a book and forget to close the ebook viewer first I get an error (naturally)
Calibre deletes the book from the database despite the error but leaves the files and directory.

When I edit and author/filename etc from the Gui it seems the same thing happens.

When I use edit metadata I get the same error but it stops me from continuing.

The obvious answer is to always close the viewer, which I try to do, but unfortunately I forget or the viewer takes a while to close and I don't notice.

It would be a blessing for me if the detected error could just prevent the change/removal. Not a priority I am sure, but thought I would ask.

Thanks
Helen
