What he said. A keystroke logger allows a third party to view every thing you type without your knowledge. Very dangerous stuff. These programs come in disguise; they are wolves in sheep's clothing. You may, for example, think you are downloading a ring-tone only to discover a few days later that your bank account has been cleaned out.
