they had hopes to be the chosen ones,
to be anointed,
with the ways and means.
they went out unto the multitude,
and asked, with promises.
the multitude saw their hopes within the words and the deeds,
the wisdom;
Change.....
and they crossed their verdict,
in happiness and surety.
but tribal forces defeated the wisdom of the words,
the deeds were twisted.
the chosen ones were to be denied,
the anointed oils sullied,
sacrifices deemed unworthy.
Change.....
chieftains wrangle,
forces align,
supporters fray.
Change.....
one by one they start
to tumble.....
promises made,
jumble.
