shrug. is there supposed to be some stigmata with appreciating apple products? i've used their products since the 70's. i've also used ibm, dell, hp, microsoft, sony, nokia, motorola and dozens of other companies.
no objective argument? well then how about finding some research that actually includes scientific research as opposed to a fluffy opinion piece then? sure, the author includes all sorts of technical details about how eInk works, but we all know that.
just so you know, most scientific research regarding health-related issues usually includes a test group (subjects using the new style, say LCD screens in this test) and a control group (subjects using the existing style, say eInk screens in this test). you have them both perform identical tasks and then survey the results (ask the subjects about their eye fatigue). that paper you linked to doesn't include anything even remotely like that. so how is it any sort of valid research document?
as jswolf said, this is an off-topic, boring eink-vs-lcd debate.. and i guess that makes you an "eink fanboy"
and as kirtai points out, color eink isn't even an option today. maybe in 5 years time something will be available. i think by then we'll all be on oled. i'm sure you'll complain about those screens burning your retinas as well.
