web features for Calibre?
Just curious... has there ever been any talk of web enabling Calibre?
What I mean by that is for a web lookup feature to be added (a call to the default web browser)--not to resolve metadata, but to call up informational webpages on not only titles, but authors as well.
This would be useful to help resolve identification problems with books. Having a correct author name, but an incorrect title, isn't an uncommon thing--and a metadata search, if there's no ISBN, is contingent on the title being correct (or nearly so). So a way to call up some web resource on the author (a bibliography would be most useful, versus something like a biography) would be a good thing.
Of course this can always be done manually, but it would become a real convenience to simply be able to right click or something similar on an author name inside of Calibre and automatically open a page in your default web browser on that author. It would save a lot of back and forth typing and/or copying.
There are plenty of resources which could be linked with. fictiondb.com, librarything.com, goodreads.com, the very exhaustive fantasticfiction.co.uk (which despite its UK web address is very complete for US releases and has dedicated Author bibliography pages for just about anyone publishing), or even Amazon.com (which also has "Author" centric pages for most authors).
