Err why do you have to add state sales tax? That is nonsense. First i think this mail seems to be the usual fake stuff second if it is real Mr. Jobs have to educate himself. But i don't think its a real matter of education its more a matter of profit
Seriously after the big success i would say they already would like to raise the prices in the US but that would bring them very angry costumers. So the one last option they ket themself open from the begining was to release international prices as late as possible to be in the position to determinate how much they can leech of their costumers.
But hey thats how succesfull companies should act like, not? If you don't like it don't buy it, save your money and buy apple stocks (i am very pleased with both, iPad and their stocks
)
