Kindle SDK (Java) vs. Qt

I have just recieved my kindle and stumbled over this thread:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71776

Someone asked about the advantage of Qt over the announced kindle SDK, which was not answered satisfactorily.

The main advantages of using Qt (I see) are:

- more speed (java needs a bytecode interpreter and Qt is low-level)
- many existing apps (for example games like battle of wesnoth [everything already ported to arm devices like the nokia internet tablets])
- free software of size more than 100 kb ...

I would love to see:

- editors (text, latex, office, code, ...)
- math software (spreadsheet analysis, matlab, R, maple like software ...)
- better readers
- games (chess, board games)

Its already there and easy to port!

I hope more people joining the (Qt) development teams and improve the usefulness of the kindle.
