If you jailbreak your ipad you can browse your comics on a network share (using ezShare) and then copy them across and move them(via iFile) to where ever your comic app looks for them. A roundabout way of doing things but not as bad as it seems. Beats having to go and use your computer/laptop to copy them across.
The only problem is that the best viewing software for them (Comic Reader Mobi) has been banned from the store due to the developer trying to keep usb file transfer in by sneaking it past the review process. Luckily I bought it before it was banned.
Maybe we'll see another comic reading software with proper network share browsing turn up at some point.
