There are a few issues with HTML5.

The most obvious is that HTML5 is still in flux, and anyone creating a site now, will likely have the standard changed under them (as it clearly states on the HTML5 FAQ page).

Second, most browsers do not yet support HTML5. Google's Chrome current beta (which has integrated Flash support) is really the only major browser with relatively robust HTML5 support). Jobs just stated that Safari will have "full" HTML5 support "soon" (which is really nonsense, since the standard is not fully developed). MS also has announce support future HTML5 support. So, sometime in the future, we'll have HTML5, which everyone will eventually support.

The question is, when HTML5 comes eventually, would it replace Flash? The answer seems to be "NO," at least for the foreseeable future. There is a lot of stuff Flash can do, which HTML5 either cannot do at all, or it cannot do efficiently. For a quick summary, take a look at something like

My take is, that with the avalanche of Android-based tablets and phones coming in over the next year, all supporting Flash, there will be no reason for anyone to created Flash-less sites, since the vast majority of users will have Flash access both on their mobiles, and on their desktops.

Moreover, I really doubt we'll be seeing much new iPad-specific sites like Disney, since it would mean that companies have to spend resources to build and maintain separate mobile, iPad and desktop sites. The coming full Flash support on most Android mobiles and tablets will mean much less incentive to spend the $$$$ to reach the very small portion of the market which consists of iPad owners.
