Sure, but that doesn't mean that advertising can't go over board and make me less likely to buy a product.

Again, all that matters is the present. Tech gadgets like the iPad get used for 2-3 years at most for most people before upgrading to the latest and greatest model.

For people that regular surf a lot of Flash heavy sites, all that matters is that currently the web would suck for them on the ipad.

Now of course, people should just do their research an not buy an iPad if they want to do a lot of surfing of flash heavy sites on their tablets.

But I also don't see the need for you to be so vigilant in shouting down anyone who complains about Flash and try to make it like their opinion is flawed. It's a big deal to some, and not to others--neither side is right or wrong as it just comes down to personal browsing habits.
