Wow! Thank you guys for the fantastic responses. This has really helped clear up some things for me.

I do plan on traveling around quite a bit. I would say that I am home to eat dinner and sleep. That's about it. I do enjoy being able to be mobile as much as possible.

As for textbooks on PDF. That is something that I have not yet considered. While the idea of replacing my textbooks with the Kindle DX sounds wonderful, it might be a pipe dream in the end if I can not find my books required for my classes via Kindle store or something compatible. I attend a very large university, UT(Texas) and I am sure that some of my professors have their own textbooks on PDF format. This is something I will research before making my purchase of course.

I was not aware of the 30 day return policy. That is just too awesome and will definitely push me to try either the K2 or KDX I think.
