Yes. It's a big problem with iPads and has been discussed a lot.
Seems to vary by router etc. as well. My girlfriend's iPad drops all the time in her condo, and in her office. Doesn't drop at all at my condo.
Not sure if it's the brand of router, strength of signal, number of other networks with in range or what.
