Pepak, here are screenshots of your sample LRF/EPUB files in my reader (txt was my copy paste). The problem is, I HAVEN'T done anything to the readers fonts yet (well, actually was struggling with font editor, that was complaining that glyph already exists) yet those sentences the same way as in your post (to my untrained eye

)

Victor, which editor are you using? File is not UTF8 encoded. I'd recommend jedit.org and setting default encoding to UTF-8 (besides, you can explicitly set encoding for each file). Then you won't have to do String.fromCharCode
The file is also missing the latest changes...
